Cable Crunch There are quite a few abdominal exercises that give people the opportunity to flatten stomach regions without implementing any specific fitness equipment. Some, however, do require that participants have access to certain machines. Take, for example, the Cable Crunch. This routine requires that participants have access to a tricep push down machine, which is often an attachment found on all in one home gym devices. The Cable Crunch could be considered a fairly intense way to flatten stomach regions, especially if the machine is set up with a large amount of weight resistance.
To do a Cable Crunch, one must kneel down in front of the tricep push down machine, holding the cable above his or her head. The participant then leans down toward one knee in a crunch like motion, pulling the cable down in the process. This is repeated for the other knee, so as to work both sides of the abdomen evenly. Of course, the amount of resistance attached to the tricep push down cable will determine just how difficult the Cable Crunch is for the participant. Either way, this routine should provide those who are able to perform it the chance to flatten stomach regions relatively effectively.
